Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SyncDub AI Chrome extension and related services (the "Service"), operated by SyncDub AI ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use SyncDub. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of Service

SyncDub AI is a browser extension that captures audio from a video you are watching in a browser tab and streams it to Google's Gemini Live API to produce a real-time translated voice track in a language of your choosing. The Service is provided on a credit (translation-minute) basis.

3. Account & Sign-In

You access SyncDub by signing in with your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not responsible for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

4. Credits & Payments

• New accounts receive a limited number of free translation minutes upon first sign-in.
• Additional translation minutes ("credits") may be purchased in fixed packs through our payment partner, Paddle.
• Credits are deducted based on actual translation usage, measured server-side, and do not expire unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
• All purchases are final. Credits are non-refundable once added to your account, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Prices are listed in US dollars unless stated otherwise and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by Paddle checkout.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or bypass the Service's credit/billing system
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to translate or redistribute copyrighted content in violation of the rights holder's terms
• Share your account credentials with, or resell access to, third parties

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these terms, including revoking unused credits obtained through fraudulent means.

6. AI Translation Accuracy

SyncDub uses third-party AI models (including Google's Gemini Live API) to generate translations. While we strive for high-quality output, AI-generated translations may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The Service is provided for convenience and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical purposes.

7. Intellectual Property

The SyncDub name, logo, and extension software are the property of SyncDub AI. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent. We do not claim ownership over the video or audio content you translate; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to translate any content you process through the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SyncDub AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding three (3) months.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law applicable to you.
