The League of Legends World Championship has a Korean production team and a Korean caster desk. The English broadcast is simulcast on a separate stream with a delay of several seconds. If you want the original cast with English audio, you need a real-time dub.
What works
SyncDub's live mode translates esports broadcasts at sub-1.5s latency, which is fast enough that you can follow caster analysis without feeling lagged. The hardest part is caster banter — overlapping speech is genuinely hard for any model. We mute the original audio by default during the dub, but you can switch to duck mode (80% volume reduction) if you want to hear both.
Best tournaments to try
- LCK (Korea) — high production value, slower pace, excellent translation.
- LPL (China) — faster pace, more banter, slightly lower quality but still good.
- Worlds finals — production is half English, half Korean, the dub handles the switches well.
What doesn't work
- Post-game interviews — sometimes only one person has a microphone, and the model occasionally fills in for the unheard speaker.
- Sponsorship reads — the brand name gets translated, which the sponsor might not love.
- Music stingers — the dub plays over them, which can drown them out.
